In February of 2020 we went to The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, LA for Valentines Day. We moved here from Nevada many years ago and know what a Vegas style casino is. The Golden Nugget struck both of us as a Vegas style Casino being dropped on the Louisiana State Line. The Buffett to the card tables to the night life, they had it all. They also have a Floating River, several Pools, it is located on a beach with a beach side Fire and Bar. It has all the amenities of Vegas and the Caribbean. We stayed for 2 nights but I wish it could have been more. You can shuttle to the casino next door or just get lost in the Golden Nugget, we did a couple of times, LOL. The place is HUGE!!!!
In Grand Cayman we rented a 2 person scooter and again got a way from the crowd and got to see the Island. This is a beautiful place and I wish we could have gotten to stay longer.
In Jamaica we booked an excursion through Royal Caribbean for a beach party. Through no fault of anyone's I tripped stepping backwards and fell. I broke my wrist. The X-Rayed it on the ship, set it, gave me medicine and it was 100% covered because it was a Royal Caribbean excursion, so I fell at the right time. LOL! They checked on me by calling the room, delivered food. I didn't miss a beat, this was my first cruise! I just moved a little slower.
All in all I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone. Everyone was pleasant and a joy to be around, Crew and Guests. 🙂
